Two little boys were peeking at KCee in Kigali, Rwanda in 1990
This
woman stopped to watch KCee and her friend photograph the woman below
as they climbed a steep road on the Zaire/Rwanda border in tea
plantation country. KCee and her friend were visiting the gorilla
sanctuary near Diane Fossey...
This young
woman was quite proud of her baby sleeping in her pouch...she was off to work
on the tea plantation.
KCee made an African spoof to "American Gothic" by Grant Wood. This painting is called "African Gothic" showing a typical African family... two wives... numerous children and if you look closely you can see the sleeping husband on the porch in the background...
This was a "STOP THE CAR" moment in Zimbabwe in 1990. This team of oxen decided to test the strength of the young lad leading them.. the team was heading for the road when our car rounded the bend and stopped them in their tracks.
This brother and sister team were fooling around outside their hut in Zimbabwe...
This painting is of KCee, her traveling companion and the Bedouin "trouser girls" of Dahab in 1989, on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. These little girls didn't care if you were sound asleep and they had come by only an hour before.. it was time to look at their "TROUSERS!".... the little ones had been carrying huge sacks of trousers their mothers were making for so long when they dumped the sack at your feet they had huge indents across their foreheads... a hard life so young...
Mural painted on the wall of a daycare centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1993
